Title:
TIRE INFLATION PRESSURE DETECTING DEVICE FOR VEHICLE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH08156538
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enhance the precision of tire inflation pressure detection by judging that a vehicle is in a prescribed traveling state when the vehicle acceleration and deceleration detected values are within a prescribed time and a prescribed range, and detecting the tire inflation pressure at that time.

CONSTITUTION: An arithmetic processing device 30c reads rotating angle speed detected values from wheel speed sensors 21FL-21RR every prescribed time, and performs the judgment whether the traveling state of the vehicle is in natural decelerating state or not, and the detection of the wheel whose pneumatic pressure is reduced lower than a prescribed value on the basis of these detected values. Namely, the wheel acceleration and deceleration detected value obtained from the rotating angle speed detected value is within a prescribed time and a prescribed range showing a prescribed traveling state of the vehicle, the vehicle is judged to be in the prescribed traveling state, and the tire inflation pressure of the wheel to be detected is detected at that time. Thus, the prescribed vehicle traveling state forming a premise of tire inflation pressure detection is precisely judged, and precision of tire inflation pressure detection can be enhanced.
