The tire 2 for the motorcycle is provided with a tread 4; a side wall 6; a bead 8; a carcass 10; and a belt 16. The carcass 10 is provided with a first carcass ply 26 and a second carcass ply 28. The belt 16 is provided with a belt ply 30. The first carcass ply 26 and the second carcass ply 28 are wound around the bead 8 from an axial inside toward the outside. The belt 16 is superposed on an outer side in a radial direction of the second carcass ply 28. A belt ply end 46 is positioned at an inner side in a radial direction than a winding up end 50 of the second carcass ply 28. The winding up end 50 of the second carcass ply 28 is positioned at an inner side in the radial direction than a winding up end 48 of the first carcass ply 26.
