To provide a simulation method for a tire statically capable of acquiring a high precision evaluation result of the tire performance in a comparatively short time while the running condition of an actual vehicle fitted with four wheels is modeled.
The simulation method for the tire performance is to approximate the tire to be evaluated using a tire finite element model and simulate the tire performance statically by the finite element method, whereby a dynamic simulation is conducted for the vehicle fitted with four wheels equipped with control tires previously in the specific running condition, wherein the external conditions generated in each tire as a result are determined previously, followed by setting of the boundary conditions of the finite element model on the basis of the determined external conditions, and a static simulation of the running condition is conducted for each of the tires having different external conditions, and the evaluation value of the tire performance as the total over the four wheels is calculated from the physical amounts of each tire obtained through simulation.
