Abstract:
To enable a revolution direction of a tire to be determined even when a vehicle is travelling at a constant speed.SOLUTION: A tire revolution direction determination system comprises: detection devices arranged respectively in two tires coupled to each other back-to-back; and a monitoring unit. The detection device has a first detector that detects first acceleration G1 in a tire radial direction and a second detector that detects second acceleration G2 in the tire radial direction. The first detector is arranged in front of the second detector in a reference direction. The monitoring unit, when receiving the first acceleration G1 and the second acceleration G2 from the detection devices while a vehicle is traveling forward, identifies change over time of the first acceleration G1 and change over time of the second acceleration G2, and determines whether or not the revolution directions of the tires in which the detection devices are arranged are the reference direction, on the basis of whether or not the change over time of the first acceleration G1 has advanced more than the change over time of the second acceleration G2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
