Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide traction and braking actions satisfactorily by increasing the wet performance of a tire.
CONSTITUTION: A water draining recessed part 4 is provided in an axial sipe 3 at an opening edge part 3a on a side which arrives first at a road surface 12 in tire rotation, and a linear water-cut edge 5 is provided at an opening edge 3b on a side which arrives subsequently at the road surface 12 so that it is opposed to the water draining recessed part 4. Thus any water on the road surface 12 is not drained forward of a vehicle in the traveling direction (See arrow C) beyond the water-cut edge 5.
