Abstract:
The present invention relates to a combination: a tire having an innerliner (75); a patch (10) attached to the innerliner; a tag assembly (70) with an electronic monitoring device (34) having at least one sensor for sensing an engineering condition of the tire; characterized in that said tag (70) assembly being removably attached to the patch (10), and further comprising external threads on the insert and internal threads on the patch extending into the cavity; the insert being threaded into the cavity, and further comprising external threads on the electronic monitoring device and internal threads on the patch extending into the cavity; the electronic monitoring device being threaded into the cavity.
