PURPOSE: To obtain a small-size photographic lens which has a wide angle of view, a large aperture ratio, and short overall length.
CONSTITUTION: This photographic lens consists of the 1st meniscus lens groupI which has a convex surface facing the object side and positive refracting power, the 2nd lens group II having negative refracting power, the 3rd lens group III which has a convex surface facing the image side and positive refracting power, the 4th lens group IV having positive refracting power, and the 5th meniscus lens group V which has a concave surface facing the object side and negative refracting power successively from the object side. Then, this lens meets requirements as follows: (1) 0.4<fF/f<0.9, (2) 3<(r5+r6)/(r5-r6)<9, (3) 1.55<(n3+n4)/2<1.75, where fF and (f) are the composite focal length from the 1st lens groupIto the 4th lens group IV and the focal length of the whole system, r5 and r6 are radii of curvature of the object-side and image-side surfaces of the 2nd lens group III, and n3 and n4 are refractive indexes of glass of the 3rd lens group III and 4th lens group IV.
