Compounds of the formula: wherein n is an integer from 0 to 2; R is straight-chain alkyl containing from 6 to 15 carbon atoms; X is hydrogen or, when n is 1 or 2, X can be -NH2; Y is hydroxy, -0- (C1-C4)alkyl, -NH2, -NH(C1-C4)alkyl , -N-(C1-C4)alkyl)2 or -NH-@@-COOH wherein R' is hydrogen, alkyl of 1 to 4 carbon atoms, or benzyl; and Z is hydroxy, -O-(C1-C4)alkyl), -NH2, -NH-(C1-C4)alkyl , or -N-(C1-C4)alkyl)2, can be used in pharmaceutical composition.
