Abstract:
A method for dyeing a hair fibre on a living human head comprises contacting the fibre with a tinctorially effective amt. of an anthraquinone cpd. of formula (I), for time sufficient to dye the fibre. R1, R2 = methyl and R3 = propyl, or R1, R2 are ethyl and R3 = methyl; A = a cosmetically acceptable anion, in a cosmetically acceptable vehicle. The anion is selected from iodide, chloride, bromide, fluoride, methylsulphate and acetate. The fibre is simultaneously contacted with at least one direct dye.
