PURPOSE: To provide the magneto-optical recording medium having excellent durability and scratching resistance.

CONSTITUTION: A film consisting of polyvinylidene fluoride or its copolymer is stuck onto a protective film layer consisting of a UV curing resin formed on a magneto-optical recording film of the magneto-optical recording medium constituted of a transparent disk-shaped substrate and the magneto-optical recording film. The above-mentioned film is otherwise stuck onto the recording film and is then provided thereon with the protective layer. The recording film is otherwise provided thereon with the protective layer and the film is stuck to the substrate surface on the side opposite from the recording film. The film is further provided thereon with a cured film.
