PURPOSE: To provide a plant operation supporting device which excels in the responsiveness and can control the time series sample data with high efficiency.
CONSTITUTION: A sample data control means 2 decides the category included in a multi-variable space to the time series sample data 4 sent from a plant 150 and for each data 4 limited in a fixed period. Then a period when the same categories are continuous is decided and stored in a time series file 5 after the compression carried out in the time base direction. The data is delivered from the file 5 in response to the request of an inference means 1. The means 1 outputs the operating instructions to a instruction means 3 based on the experiential rules of the expert operators. Thus it is possible to improve the responsiveness of a plant operation supporting device and to control the data with high efficiency.
