PURPOSE: To obtain a hair cosmetic, good in extensibility and slipperiness to the hair in application and having efficient setting properties.

CONSTITUTION: The hair cosmetic is obtained by blending a copolymer of vinylpyrrolidine and a dialkylaminoalkyl methacrylate with at least one compound selected from cationic surfactants and silicone oils or the copolymer with at least one silicone derivative selected from high-molecular weight silicone rubbers expressed by formula I (R1 and R2 are methyl, phenyl or OH; n is 3000-9000), organosilicone resins, expressed by formula IV (n1 and n2 are 5-20; n1/n2 is ≥1) and having groups expressed by formula II as terminal groups, n1 × terminals and a recurring unit having a structure of formula III and modified silicones. This hair cosmetic is good in persistence of moistness and gloss. Furthermore, the hair cosmetic better in persistence of moistness and gloss is obtained by blending at least one selected from among quaternary ammonium salt type cationic surfactants, silicone oils and polyhydric alcohols (derivatives) therein.
