Abstract:
PURPOSE:To turn over a page with high reliability by a method wherein when predetermined endpaper of a passbook is turned over in an automated teller machine(ATM) or the like, a roller is rotated by a predetermined amount while the endpaper is pressed against the roller by a pressing means and, thereafter, the pressing pressure of the pressing means is further increased for turning over the endpaper. CONSTITUTION:In controlling a passbook page turn-over, a solenoid 3a is excited to press up a passbook pressing lever 2a to press a passbook 5 against a page turn-over roller 8. By a full rotation of the page turn-over roller 8 in an arrow direction, endpaper 5a is pulled in. When a detection means detects the full rotation of the page turn-over roller 8 from the start, another solenoid 3c is excited to press a passbook pressing lever 2c against the passbook 5 and, meanwhile, the page turn-over roller 8 is further fully rotated. The endpaper 5a is pressed by a next page 5c to be filliped rearward of the roller 8. Succeedingly, the next page 5c is pulled in by the roller 8 to be filliped rearward of the roller 8 to be turned over.
