PURPOSE: The titled cover or desk mat excellent in non-migratability of ink, prepared by molding a urethane/vinyl chloride copolymer resin prepared by polymerizing a vinyl chloride monomer in an aqueous medium in the presence of a thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer.

CONSTITUTION: 100pts.wt. (A) vinyl chloride monomer or mixture of vinyl chloride with a monomer copolymerizable therewith and capable of forming a homopolymer of a glass transition point of below 30°C(e.g., ethylene or vinyl acetate) is polymerized in an aqueous medium in the presence of about 10W200pts.wt. (B) thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer which is soluble in component A and has preferably a softening point of 20W100°C (e.g., a polyurethane comprising an adipic acid-derived polyester diol and an aliphatic diisocyanate). The obtained urethane/vinyl chloride copolymer resin is molded into the purpose cover for prints or desk mat.
