Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a backfill material capable of exerting excellent strength without needing curing time by mixing drilling mud with granulated sintered aggregate made of sewage-sludge burned ash at a specific ratio so that the CBR-value of a mixture of the materials each having low CRB-value by itself is dramatically improved. SOLUTION: The objective backfill material produced from drilling mud generated at a civil engineering work using it as a raw material is obtained by mixing the drilling mud, which can not give sufficient supporting power by single use and is sandy soil mixed with clay preferably classified into SC of Japanese United Soil Classification, with' granulated sintered aggregate made of sewage-sludge burned ash at a dry weight ratio of 20-80%. The obtained backfill material has an improved supporting power and a CBR-value of >=40%.
