Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a board lock fixed by permanent deformation without any need for soldering work, and to provide an electric connector using the board lock. CONSTITUTION: A board lock 2 comprises a connector retention part 4 retained in a board lock reception cavity of an electric connector, and a printed board mounting part 6. This printed board mounting part 6 is made in almost U-letter shape having a pair of arms 22 whose lower ends are connected by a bridge part 24. The printed board mounting part 6 is inserted into a board lock reception hole 62 of a printed board 60, and undergoes permanent deformation by means of a die 40 so that it is fixed in the printed board 60.
