PURPOSE: To provide a tool change device for a multi spindle machine tool which can automatically change a tool stocked in a tool magazine and permits the easy change of the tool in the tool magazine by an operator.
CONSTITUTION: The first tool transfer device 40 carries out the mounting and demounting of a tool 16 for a multi spindle machine tool 10 by a tool mounting and demounting body 43, and shifts on the multi spindle machine tool 10 and a tool magazine 80 along a rail 4a. The second tool transfer device 60 carries out the receiving and delivery of a tool between the first transfer device 40 and the tool magazine 80. Further, as for the tool magazine 80, the angle of the magazine body 84 can be changed by turning a handle 86, and an operator can carry out tool change easily.
