Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid the occurrence of wavelike wrinkles after a patterned wilton carpet using a pile of nylon crimped yarn wrought on a cushion backing is worked, by using grippers. SOLUTION: In this working method, grippers 11, 12 are fixed to the respective ends of the laying working floor surface 14 of a wilton carpet, and cushion packing 13 is laid on the laying working floor surface 14 between the gripper 11 and the gripper 12, and the wilton carpet 16 is extended on the cushion backing 13. The gripper 11 and the gripper 12 are extended in the warp direction, and the respective ends of the wilton carpet 16 are hooked and fixed to the needles 15 of the grippers. In this case, the wilton carpet 16 is made so that a figure is drawn by pile yarn of nylon crimped yarn of different colors of at least three colors, and the fineness of a single yarn of the core warp continuously woven in a straight line in the warp direction lying between the front weft and the rear weft is 30 denier or less, and it is made up of fibers of low degree of moisture absorption swelling and extensible.
