PURPOSE: To obtain high corrosion resistant and wear resistant cast steel capable of improving the durability of a fire grate to the increase in loads by incorporating it with specified amounts of C, Cr, Al, Si, Ni, rare earth metals and a small amt. of Mn with trace amounts of impurity elements.
CONSTITUTION: The high corrosion resistant and wear resistant cast steel contains, by weight, 0.8 to 2.0% C, 15 to 30% Cr, 1.5 to 5.0% Al, 1.0 to 4.0% Si, 0.5 to 6.0% Ni and 0.01 to 0.5% rare earth metals, and the balance a small amt. of Mn as a deoxidizing agent with trace amounts of impurity elements and is capable of improving the durability of a fire grate. The fire grate produced by the same maintains excellent oxidation resistance and high temp. corrosion resistance under severe conditions of high temp. combustion gas, intensive corrosive gas, intensive corrosive molten combustion ash or the like. Moreover, it is excellent in wear resistance and can stably be used under severe conditions for a long time.
