Title:
SEAWATER CORROSION RESISTING NON-MAGNETIC MATERIAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH06100992
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a weawater corrosion resisting non-magnetic material useful for preventing the degradation of structures requiring non-magnetism, such as magnetic levitation type rapid-transit railway set in the marine and seaside area, nuclear fusion facilities, and marine equipment and structure.

CONSTITUTION: This seawater corrosion resisting non-magnetic material has a composition consisting of, by weight ratio, ≤1.0% C, ≤0.25% Si, ≤2.0% Mn, >20.0-37.3% Al, ≤0.015% P, ≤0.005% S, 20-50% Cu, and the balance iron with inevitable impurities, contains, if necessary, one or ≥2 elements among Ti, V, Nb, W, Co, Mo, and B by 0.01-0.5% in total in the case of the elements other than B and 0.0001-0.005% in the case of B, and further contains 0.5-9.0% one or ≥2 elements among Ni and/or Cr.
