Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a fiber-reinforced aluminum oxide group ceramics-made cutting tool excellent in abrasion resistance and chipping resistance.
CONSTITUTION: This is a fiber-reinforced aluminum oxide group ceramics-made cutting tool composed of a carbonate material fiber of Si and Ti of 2-30wt.%, one kind or two kinds or more of SiC, TiC, TiN, TiCN, and TiCNO of 20wt.% or less as required, and the rest of sintered compact having blend composition composed of aluminum oxide.
