Abstract:
In a gas turbine dual fuel nozzle including a main nozzle body (1) with a support flange (2) having a liquid fuel and atomizing air nozzle structure (8) centrally extending therethrough with a fuel and atomizing air discharge structure (8) arranged at its free end and a fuel gas supply structure (28) arranged around the free end of the fuel and atomizing air discharge structure (14) wherein the fuel gas supply structure (28) has a front face (38) extending inwardly adjacent the fuel and atomizing air discharge structure (8) and having a central opening (40) permitting the discharge of liquid fuel and atomizing air therethrough, the front face (38) has bores (44) extending therethrough in radial symmetry in a circular array and radial slots (42) formed therein between said bores (44) and the central opening (40) so as to eliminate hoop stresses in the front face (38) around its central opening (40).
