Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve the matching job efficiency by storing the product names of the product groups forming a computer system as well as the relative information among these product names and inspecting that a list of product names of a user system using a computer is matched with said relative information on product names. CONSTITUTION:A user system using a computer is formed by adding a processor 11 and an output device 13 to a product control back-up device. The product names including the version and revision numbers of a group of products forming a computer system and the relative information among these products are stored in a product information register file 12 of the user system. While a list of product names forming the user system is registered into an input file 14 for a list of user system component product names which is connected to the processor 11. Then, the software necessary for control of products is registered into a program library file 15. These software are carried out in a work area 16 and the device 13 edits a diagnosis message and delivers it to a list of user system component products.
