PURPOSE: To improve the resolution in the measurement of anisotropic magnetic field utilizing nuclear magnetic resonance phenomenon by constituting a sample coil with a densely wound single-layer solenoid where two or more insulation- covered wires are wound in parallel.
CONSTITUTION: A sample coil is constituted by a densely wound single layer solenoid coil where two or more insulation-covered conductors are wound in parallel. Therefore, mutually insulated separate coil windings are densely provided to fill the spacing between the coil windings and further both edges of the coil windings are electrically connected, thus suppressing the magnetic flux leakage from the spacing between the coil windings and making uniform the magnetic field distribution within the sample coil. Also, since both edges of each coil winding are connected in parallel, the inductance is nearly equal to that of a conventional sample coil. Namely, by using a low-inductance sample coil with an improved uniformity of magnetic field distribution, the resolution of the measurement in anisotropic magnetic field can be improved.
