Abstract:

PURPOSE: To produce an arom. polycarbonate excellent in heat resistance.

CONSTITUTION: An arom. polycarbonate is produced by the melt polycondensation of an arom. diol compd. with a carbonic diester compd. using a cesium salt as a transesterification catalyst under the condition that the salt is fed into the reaction system as an aq. soln.
