Abstract:
PURPOSE:To remarkably reduce the cost by controlling a pressure actuator in which a motor is used as the drive source of the electrode of a spot welder using a signal from the controller of a robot. CONSTITUTION:A controller 18 controlling a motor driving the electrode of a spot welder 4, and a robot controller 15 controlling the positioning of the handling of a robot are provided. The electrode releasing position of the welder is continuously controlled by the controller of a pressure actuator 5 with an electrode stroke open signal from a robot controller. Consequently, even when a 6-axes robot controller is used, since an air pressure welder can be easily replaced with a motor pressure welder, compensation for the stoppage of a production line and reteaching are not necessary. Also, an arithmetic and logic unit feeding back information such as the speed, the electrode position of the welder becomes simple. The correct synchronization control of the pressure of the electrode and a welding current is quickly performed, and energy-saving welding, etc., in which nugget monitoring, spatterless welding, pressure and current value are allowed to synchronously balance are realized.
