Abstract:
PURPOSE:To easily perform the moving operation for a cursor with a natural feeling by varying the outputs of an (x)-directional and a (y)-directional pressure sensors according to the tilting direction of a pen shaft gripping part by the hand and moving the cursor in the direction corresponding to the tilting direction of the pen shaft gripping part. CONSTITUTION:The hand is placed on a hand rest base 2 to grip the pen shaft gripping part 6 in the hand, and the pen shaft gripping part 6 is slanted corresponding to a desired cursor moving direction. When the pen shaft gripping part 6 is slanted in an (x) direction, pressure is applied from a shaft body 6a and a cylinder 8 to the pressure sensors 16x1 and 16x2 through cylindrical rubber 14; and the induced voltage of the slanting side pressure sensor is boosted and the induced voltage of the non-slanting side pressure is dropped. The extent of the rise or fall of the output voltage of an amplifying circuit which amplifies the induced voltages of the pressure sensors 16x1 and 16x2 depends upon the tilt angle of the pen shaft gripping part 6. Consequently, natural operation can be performed in the same manner as the writing of characters, etc., on a form without requiring any wide space.
