Abstract:
PURPOSE: To form a golden or black film on a watchband by properly regulating reactive gases in an ion plating method.
CONSTITUTION: A film is formed on the surface of a watchband by an ion plating method using two kinds of compounds, TiN and TiC. When a golden film is formed, the compounds are produced on the surface of the watchcase so as to satisfy TiN%>TiC%, and when a black film is formed, the compounds are produced so as to satisfy TiN%<TiC%. By this method a golden or black film with satisfactory chroma can be freely formed.
