PURPOSE: To provide a storage furniture which requires no insecticide, resulting that a space for storing clothes is widen and nice appearance is obtained.
CONSTITUTION: A storage furniture 1 is embedded in a wall 2 in the room. Clothes, etc., are stored in a upper storage box 4 or a lower storage box 5 in the storage furniture 1. A storage space 10 is formed in a pair of side plates 9 placed opposite each other of the storage furniture 1 so that the storage space projects outward. In the storage space 10, openings 10a are provided at the wall of the upper storage box 4 and the lower storage box 5. A UV lamp (ultraviolet lamp) 11 is provided in the storage space 10. The openings 10a of the storage space 10 are covered with mesh-type members 13. The UV lamp 11 is connected to a power supply via a timer, and power is applied to the UV lamp for a specified time at specified intervals to allow it to radiate ultraviolet rays. By the UV radiation, a disinfection and insecticide is performed in the storage furniture 1, and clothes stored in the storage boxes 4 and 5 are prevent form being suffered from harmful insect.
