Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide a novel DC114-C derivative having excellent antibacterial activity and antitumor activity. CONSTITUTION:The compound of formula I [R<1> is lower alkyl, lower alkanoyl, etc.; R<2> and R<3> are H, (substituted) aroyl, etc.], e.g. the compound of formula I wherein R<1> is CH2, R<2> is H and R<3> is H. The compound of formula I can be produced e.g. by reacting a compound of formula II with a corresponding diazoalkane in a solvent (e.g. acetone) preferably at 0-30 deg.C for 10min to 3hr.
