PURPOSE: To show a high critical current by manufacturing a Josephson junction of weak superconducting coupling at an interface between an inclined surface and a flat surface of a dielectric substrate having a smaller lattice constant than that of an oxide super conducting maternal.
CONSTITUTION: A dielectric substrate 1 for manufacturing an oxide superconducting thin film is made to incline in one direction. Then, an oxide superconducting thin film 3 is formed. At an edge where an incline begins, mismatching of a crystal structure occurs and a Josephson junction (crystalline mismatching portion) 5 is produced. In this manner, formed thin films are subjected to patterning to make a bridge shape device. Then, Josephson device operating at high temperature can be made. Consequently, a condition of good reproducibility can be made efficiently.
