Abstract:
PURPOSE:To exactly execute data communication with plural kinds of signals by so controlling that the reception of a signal whose transmission rate is the highest is executed when a detecting means detects the absence of signal for a prescribed time and that the reception of other signal is executed when the detecting means detects the presence of signal for a prescribed time while said reception is executed. CONSTITUTION:A controlling circuit 42, after its signal presence/absence detecting circuit 40 detects a signal-absent state (SED=0) for the prescribed time, executes mainly the reception of the high-rate signal. While executing said reception, in case of detecting the signal-present state and this state lasts for the prescribed time without changing once to the signal-absent state even though it is checked for a prescribed time, received signal are discriminated to be a tonal signal and a binary signal of 300bps. Therefore, after the lapse of the prescribed time after starting the high-speed reception, the circuit 40 can dedicate itself to the reception of the said signals if there comes in no more high-rate signals. At the minute, in case of executing communication procedures for high-rate signal, if a signal-absent state is detected continuously longer than a prescribed time after detecting a closed flag, the ending of the reception of the communication procedures for high-rate signal is discriminated.
