Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a stabilizer for artificial tooth having good adaptability of adhesion between an artificial tooth and gum thereof and having an effect capable of stabilizing an inserted artificial tooth by blending polyacrylic acid salt powder with carboxy-methylcellulose sodium powder. CONSTITUTION:A stabilizer for artificial tooth obtained by combining polyacrylic acid sodium salt powder (preferably of 40-45 pts.wt.) with carboxymethylcellulose sodium powder or gelatin powder (preferably of 10-15 pts.wt) and preferably further adding 40-45 pts.wt. of a plastic base to make totally 100 pts.wt., and controlling pH of 0.2% aqueous solution of the stabilizer to about 9.0-10.0. This stabilizer enhances hardness and strength of water absorbing gel and controls diffusing and dissolving properties of the gels into water and moderates cushioning properties at the insertion of artificial tooth and relaxes sticky feeling in a cavity and prolongs retention time of the stickiness between the tooth and the gum.
