Abstract:
PURPOSE:To control blights by treatment in a short time while minimizing danger of plants by previously adjusting environmental air in space of horticulture under structure to conditions of temperature, humidity, etc., of causing blights, injecting an ozone gas to the space and sterilizing for a given time. CONSTITUTION:Air contaminated with pathogenic spores, etc., sent by a blower 4 or 5 is irradiated with ultraviolet rays by a low pressure mercury vapor lump 2, ozone is generated from oxygen in air and spores are sterilized and harmful substances are oxidized and decomposed by oxidizing force thereof to clean air. When the air is irradiated with ultraviolet rays by a low pressure mercury vapor lamp 3, ozone generated at the previous stage absorbs the ultraviolet rays and decomposed into oxygen in a nascent state and stronger sterilizing actions, etc., are shown by powerful oxidizing action to promote cleaning of air. Ozone concentration is detected at a proper place in facilities and outlet of ultraviolet rays is regulated at an ozone generating part and an ozone decomposing part by an ozone controller 6 so that ozone concentration in the facilities can be arbitrarily regulated in a range required for controlling blights.
