Abstract:
PURPOSE:To reduce a cost of equipment as compared with a case where each dust removal unit has a separate circulating pipe and air blower, by causing the circulating pipes for a plurality of the dust removal units to join a collecting pipe along which an air blower is provided. CONSTITUTION:A dust-containing gas passageway and a dust-free gas passageway are defined by a vertically extending porous separating wall. A dust- containing gas inlet opening 14 is formed in the upper part of said dust- containing gas passageway and dust-free gas exit openings 19 on the side of said dust-free gas passageway. A back washing means 22 is provided for delivering a jet of back washing air from the gas exit openings 19 to said porous separating wall. There are provided a plurality of the dust removal units having the above-mentioned features and also a circulating pipe 23 which circulates the dust-containing gas from the lower part of said dust-containing gas passageway to the upper part thereof for each of said dust removal units. Such circulating pipes 23 join a collecting pipe 29 along which an air blower 24 is provided, whereby the dust-containing gas can be circulated upon back washing to improve to effectiveness of the back washing and the cost of equipment can be curtailed.
