PURPOSE: To provide a flat type nonaqueous electrolyte battery of a stable quality by applying an improved fusing member.
CONSTITUTION: A flat battery is constituted by wrapping and sealing a generation element in which a nonaqueous electrolyte is used in films 1 and 11 each of which either consists of metallic foil or is formed by fusing metallic foil and a resin film. In such a battery resin layers 15 and 16 principally consisting of a polyolefin-system resin and contaminated by glass fiber are fused at least to the sealing areas of the inner surfaces of metallic foils 2 and 12. As a result, any deformation of the fusing member which might be caused during the fusion is prevented. Besides, a highly-reliable battery of a stable quality having excellent mechanical strength, fusing property and electrolyte resistance is obtained.
