PURPOSE: To turn ON or OFF the light suitably, by providing darkness/light judging circuit means with means for detecting the state of weather so as to allow a darkness/light threshold level to be set.
CONSTITUTION: In a light controller for vehicles that turns on a light only if it is judged that it is dark and the car is running, respectively by the drakness/light judging means 2 that compares the outside illumination detected by a light sensor 1 with a prescribed darkness/light threshold level, and by running judging means 4 for judging whether the car is running or not based on the output of a car speed detector 3, the threshold setting means 24 is provided that allows a darkness/light level to be set based on the output of the weather detecting means 21 for detecting the state of weather. Thus, according to the change in the weather, the light will be turned ON or OFF suitably at any time.
