Abstract:
A furnace for the electrothermal atomisation of samples in atomic absorption spectroscopy comprises a tubular, electrically conducting furnace body (74) and an inner body (76) formed onto the furnace body and held at a distance from the wall of the furnace part in the furnace body by means of a bridge (78). The inner body is formed by a platform formed onto the tubular furnace body. Said platform is joined to the furnace body by means of a bridge which is narrow in the axial direction. The bridge is asymmetrically mounted on the inner body, and in particular axially offset towards the centre of the inner body.
