Abstract:
PURPOSE: To generate concd. ozone without narrowing an electric discharge gap.
CONSTITUTION: A bipolar pulse voltage is impressed as an AC voltage between both electrodes 1 and 3. the frequency of the pulse voltage is controlled to 100-1000Hz and the pulse width to 0-100μsec, hence the electronic energy is increased in a silent discharge, and the dissociation efficiency of the oxygen molecule is improved. Consequently, a necessary power is reduced, and the energy efficiency in generating ozone is increased since the pulse width is decreased.
