PURPOSE: To diagnose plural cars simultaneously, by providing a table for every test base in a memory to perform tests in parallel in a diagnostic device for car which uses a microcomputer.
CONSTITUTION: A controlling part 200 incorporates a microcomputer to perform the control of data transmission and reception and the analysis and decision data. A main cable 300 consists of a clock line 302, an address line 304, a transmission line 306, and a reception line 308. Individual cables 310 branched from the main cable 300 and are connected to terminal transmitting and receiving parts 400 and 410. Operators 500 and 510 consist of diagnosis start switches, response switches, input switches for the number of car cylinders and the engine cycle number, driving condition indicators, displays for decision results, etc. Thus, the controlling part 200 is provided with a memory for every terminal to measure plural signals in time divisions for plural vehicles, thereby shortening the diagnostic time.
