Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enable removing burn, stain, rust, etc. at the end part of the steel plate by automatically grinding and processing in such a way that a brush is provided on a carrier which is engaged with the end part of the steel plate of the hull block, or the like, supported, and made to be freely moved, and a straight grinder is fitted thereto.

CONSTITUTION: A holding member 22 of a straight grinder 20 equipped with a brush 21 is engaged to be freely able to be moved in the upward and downward directions with a guide hole 24 of a support 23 which is installed uprightly on a carrier 14, and it is supported through a compression spring 25 for adjusting the thrust. In consequence, it results in having the thrust to the upper end part 11a of the lounge which is constant. After a grinder is engaged with the upper end part 11a of the hull block 12 by means of guide wheels 15, and supported, when a control valve is opened, the carrier 14 and the straight grinder 20 are operated, so that the upper end part 11a of the lounge is automatically ground and processed.
