Abstract:
PURPOSE:To acquire a sharp picture by detecting the presence of movement of an object with a movement detection means so as to set an operating timing of a switch means, controlling freezing and detecting an image pickup timing of a frozen picture automatically. CONSTITUTION:When a freeze operating means 8 is operated, R, G picture data are fetched from a pre-stage of a color encoder 15 to a differential arithmetic circuit 23. Then the R, G signals are given to the differential arithmetic circuit 23, in which a signal R-G is generated and it is compared with a prescribed reference value at a comparator circuit 24 to extract only a negative component and it is integrated. Then the comparison is implemented every time the R and G picture data are outputted from a CCD 5 and before it is discriminated that no movement exists, the picture is not frozen via an analog switch 20. Thus, in the case of picking up the frozen picture, a sharp frozen picture is surely acquired by one operation without color slurring.
