PURPOSE: To obtain a lubricant suitable for e.g. magnetic tapes sustaining lubricating effect for a long time and having excellent travelling property, wear resistance and durability, comprising individhally specific ester compound and tertiary long-chain alkylamine.
CONSTITUTION: This lubricant is obtained by adding (B) to (A). (A): An ester compound of a perfluoropolyether having hydroxyl groups at chain ends expressed by formula I or II (Rf is a perfluoropolyether; R1 is a partially fluorinated long-chain hydrocarbon) and a partially fluorinated long-chain carboxylic acid. (B): A tertiary long-chain alkylamine expressed by formula III [Ra, Rb and Rc are each a hydrocarbon (one or more of them are ≥3C long-chain hydrocarbons)]. The amount (in terms of molar ratio) of the component B to be added is preferably 0.01-100 to 100 based on the component A. Furthermore, at least one kind of ester selected from among phosphoric esters, phosphorous esters and long-chain carboxylic esters are preferably added to the lubricant.
