Abstract:

PURPOSE: To simplify the circuit configulation of the optical scanning device which electrically an corrects fθ error and the exposure quantity of each dot.

CONSTITUTION: Pulse width data for fθ error correction which are read out of a memory to a latch circuit are inputted to a programmable counter and also inputted as data d1 for current correction to a laser diode driver. The counter compares the pulse width data with the count value of a reference clock, and also inputs image data and outputs image data d2 to the driver at the timing where the count value reaches the pulse width data. The driver consists of an electric switch circuit 46a and a current value control circuit 46b; and the current switch circuit 46a performs ON/OFF control over a laser diode 21a at specific timing on the basis of the image data d2 and the current value control circuit 46b controls the value of a current fed to the laser diode 21a on the basis of the data d1 for current correction.
