Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a Cu substitution R2Co17-contained matrix magnet having residual flux density by a method wherein respective elements are dissolved, the alloyed molten metal is cast to a mold to obtain an ingot having a coarse crystal particle diameter, and heat treatment is performed.

CONSTITUTION: At manufacturing time of magnetic powder for a Cu substitution R2Co17-contained matrix magnet according to the solution cast method, solution is performed in a vacuum or in an inactive gas atmosphere as not to oxidize the alloyed molten metal, and after homogenization and solution treatment of an ingot at a high temperature (1,100W1,200°C) is completed, cooled rapidly by putting in an Ar gas current, in water, in oil, etc. usually. Ageing treatment of the rapidly cooled ingot is performed next with an object to obtain coercive force. The average crystal particle diameter of the obtained ingot is made to 100μm or less as to have coarse condition. Pulverization is performed according to a disk mill, a brown mill, etc., and regulation of grain size is performed according to the crystal particle diameter of the obtained ingot.
