PURPOSE: To provide a cutting method for a belt-like member and its device, capable of cutting even those of broad belt-like members easily with small-sized equipment and also of preventing a cut surface from turning to waviness.
CONSTITUTION: While an abacus counter-form heating roll 9 is turning round, a cutting part S1 of a belt-like member S is pressed successively along the cross direction, and then an inclined surface at the specified angle in the longitudinal direction of the belt-like member S is formed in the cutting part S1 of the belt-like member S by this heating roll 9 and formed and cut at the same time. This heating roll 9 is freely rotatable and liftable in the perpendicular direction of the belt-like member S, while it is made up to be shiftable in reciprocation along the cross direction of the belt-like member S.
