Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide a controller capable of remarkably increasing a vehicle speed while suppressing engine rotational speed at the time of detecting abnormality of an engine, in the engine mounted on a vehicle provied with an automatic transmission. CONSTITUTION:The controller of an engine is provided with a means 21 for detecting any abnormalcase of an engine, an engine rotational speed control means 22 for suppresing the engine rotational speed less than a specified value at the time of any abnormalcase of the engine, a means 23 for detecting the gear position of an automatic transmission, and a delay means 24 for delaying control for suppressing the engine rotational speed less than the specified value at the time detecting any abnormalcase of the engine under its driving condition where the automatic transmission is set in its low speed gear position.
