PURPOSE:To obtain the title device, prominent in removing every scope of oil mist, bad small constituent, organic solvent and white smoke and capable of providing a countermeasure for the fire of the bag chamber of a direct inducing dust collecting machine, by a method wherein a spray cooling tower, provided with at least one stage, and an adsorbent supplying device are provided sequentially between the fan of the direct inducing dust collecting machine and the bag chamber of the same machine. CONSTITUTION:Exhaust gas enters into a spray cooling tower 16 from a fan 12 for a direct inducing dust collecting machine through a duct and enters from the spray cooling tower 18 of the last stage into the bag chamber 14 of the direct inducing dust collecting machine through the duct 22, then, is discharged into atmosphere. When the exhaust gas is passed through the cooling towers 16, 18, the gas is contacted with spray water and the temperature thereof is reduced suddenly whereby oil mist and organic solvent in the exhaust gas are condensed and become drip-type liquid while a part of them is washed by spray water together with dust and foreign substances and is reserved at the lower parts of the spray cooling towers 16, 18, then, is discharged out of drains 16c, 18c. Drip-type oil constituent and organic solvent constituent, which could not be removed in the spray cooling towers 16, 18, flow to the site of an adsorbent supplying device 20 and are adsorbed by a multitude of granular adsorbing agent 26, dropped and supplied from the adsorbent supplying device 20 and are taken out of an adsorbent receiver 24.
