Abstract:

PURPOSE:To improve the rate of collation by using a fingerprint sensor, in which a pressure sensor is integrated, registering pressure data at the time of sealing together with fingerprint data at the time of registration and starting the collation when the pressure of a finger is same as that of the registration time or obtains a value within fixed width from pressure data at the time of the registration when the collation is executed. CONSTITUTION:The pressure data of the finger are registered for each user together with the fingerprint data at the time of the registration by using a fingerprint sensor 11, in which a pressure sensor 12 is integrated. At the time of the collation, when the pressure of the finger is same as that of the registration time or goes within the fixed width from the pressure data at the time of the registration, a picture is taken in and the collation is started. Especially, the fingerprint picture and pressure data are stored so as to be pressure, with which the most satisfactory fingerprint picture can be obtained at the time of the registration. Accordingly, the uniform pressure of the finger is not needed to the user in the case of the collation and the collation can be executed with the fingerprint picture in a condition close to the registration time with permitting dispersion, etc., in the pressure of the finger or the condition of a finger tip according to the user. Thus, the reproducibility of a fingerprint ridge line pattern is secured and the rate of the collation is improved.
