PURPOSE: To improve the mechanical strength of the lead wire of an electrolytic capacitor, to reduce the tanδ of the capacitor and, at the same time, to reduce the size of the capacitor.
CONSTITUTION: A capacitor element 16 is constituted by interposing a separator between anode foil and cathode foil respectively connected with lead wires 11a and 11b, separately winding the two kinds of foil, and impregnating the foil with an electrolytic solution for driving. In addition, the aluminum parts 12a and 12b of the wires 11a and 11b respectively connected to the anode and cathode foil are constituted of an aluminum alloy prepared by adding one or two or more kinds of aimed allay elements selected from among magnesium, silicon, and manganese to an aluminum base material of ≥99.9% purity.
